September 30, 2018, New Law: Source of Income, Do not say no to Vouchers
All Prospective Tenants must pass your screening process.
Landlords can use household income to decide whether one has enough money to rent the property.
To calculate this you must do the following:
Rent is 1,200 and the Voucher is for 1,000.00.
You subtract the voucher amount which is 1,000 from the rent which is 1,200.
This equals 200.
Your criteria are 3 times the rent: You go 3 x 200 = 600.
Income will need to be 600.
